WINiT and etouches Share Mutual Commitment to Supporting the Meeting and Event Industries

Two growing organizations partner to build brand awareness and deliver service and solutions that benefit meeting and event professionals

A key part of successfully growing an organization is connecting with the right partners. In May 2016, WINiT Member JaNette Connell, recognized an opportunity for collaboration between two organizations that she worked with and felt passionate about: WINiT and etouches. WINiT, a non-profit that provides career development services, programs, and networks to women in the travel, meeting, event, and exhibition industries, was in the process of organizing the WINiT Summit 2016, its single largest event for over 2,500 members. etouches is a provider of global end-to-end event management software that streamlines the event process, providing real-time data and analytics. As part of their event planning process, WINiT was interested in utilizing event management software to enhance attendees’ experience. JaNette, who is the Managing Director, Marketing, Events and Corporate Travel at Insperity, had been using etouches software to facilitate her clients’ events and thought it would be an excellent tool to support delivery of the WINiT Summit.

Strategic thinking and solution-oriented by nature, JaNette introduced her to an account manager at etouches, Karissa Myers, with WINiT Executive Director & COO, Dawn Repoli, to discuss how the two organizations might support one another. Karissa and Dawn immediately identified synergies between the missions and objectives of both organizations and formalized a partnership.

How WINiT Partnered

While originally framed as a marketing partnership, etouches soon realized the value that the WINiT network and programs could bring to their employees and, more broadly, the meeting and events industries.

“WINiT focuses on all women in the industry, not just executives. They provide excellent resources to help women feel confident including a mentor program, career boards and community boards to post discussions. Becoming a member of WINiT gets you complimentary registrations to various educational events as well,” commented Sara Erdos, Marketing Associate, etouches. “This is good for education purposes and to network with women in the industry. We get requests from a lot of organizations with member benefits but none deliver resources for women like WINiT.”

Through the partnership, WINiT gained access to etouches event management software to handle registration as well as onsite event communications and logistics for the WINiT Annual Summit 2016.

“etouches software really streamlined our registration management process. It was also really exciting to take advantage of some of the software’s unique functionality such as live polling to give the attendees a seamless, sophisticated event experience,” offered Dawn.

Benefits Realized

etouches and WINiT both realized value well beyond the original marketing elements of the partnership. As the relationship between the two organizations evolved, etouches and WINiT realized that they could expand the scope of the partnership to deliver thought leadership and educational content to both organizations’ audiences.

The organizations collaborated on the marketing of two webinars developed and delivered by WINiT Member, Lisa Paul. These educational webinars – The Value of Experiential Event Design and How to Reinvent Frequently Used Destinations – delivered industry specific actionable content that was valuable to both etouches’s customers and WINiT’s Members. Lisa, working with WINiT’s program office, also crafted two articles to accompany the webinars, which were posted to etouches blog and shared via WINiT’s website and social media outlets.

etouches and WINiT remain committed to their partnership and look forward to continuing to find new ways to deliver benefits and value to both organizations’ key audiences.
